Over 19 years Heading Global Preclinical Safety for Abbott Laboratories, preceded by 4 years in the Petrochemical Industry (Shell) and 5 years in a Contract Research Organization (Hazleton, now Covance). At Abbott, Contributed to over 25 NDAs, made 40 Presentations to the FDA and over 25 Presentations to other Global Regulatory Agencies. Served as Chairman, Drug Safety Subsection of the PMA (now PhRMA), President of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists, the Society of Toxicological Pathologists (now Pathology), the Regulatory and Safety Evaluation and the Toxicological and Exploratory Pathology Specialty Sections within the Society of Toxicology, the Midwest Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology, and of the first Veterinary Subspecialty of Toxicological Pathology under the ACVP Also served as Chairman of the Board of the International Academy of Toxicological Pathology and as a Vice President and Board Member of the C. L. Davis, D.V.M. Foundation.
